Phew! I paid my rent today. Albeit it’s grossly one week late, but I DID IT. I get to live in my fancy schmancy West Hollywood apartment one more month! I kept meaning to write the check, quest for a stolen stamp, and send it packing all damn week, but that proved to be more difficult than anticipated. Clearly.

I erected a cork board in my kitchen to pin reminders, bills, and to dos. This has not helped. I bought a new pair of funky glasses instead of paying a medical bill and parking ticket.

“I’ll get around to it,” I told my little adult conscience. “Sigh, I know you are just going to shop and eat away your feelings this weekend. Don’t lie to me,” the adult conscience replied.

Now I must get through the workday until I can spend way too much money on Friday night mischief with friends.
